River Rally for Water Conservation
Save water, Save Life’ message spread by 400 students of SGT University by organizing ‘River Rally’ on date 26.10.2017 which was flagged off by IQAC Head Dr.T.D.Dogra in Gurugram. Rally was passed through four villages namely Munda Khera, Ismailpur, Fatehpur and Farrukhnagar via Badli Road. During Rally students interacted with villages to educate them the importance of clean local water bodies and keep plating trees along the side of water Bodies by organizing Public meeting. Students also holding ‘Save Water, Save Trees’ slogan written Banners, Posters, Pamplets to disseminate the information among innocent villagers and also played NukkadNataks on different public places. These Students were travelling through slogan written buses which were leading by 100s of Motorcycles those were soughting ‘Save Rivers’ slogans. These students also interacted with the School students and made them aware about the importance of Trees, Rivers and local water Bodies in our life. They also motivated them for plantation of tree throughout their life in order to keep surrounding neat and clean. Rivers is a nationwide awareness campaign crafted by Shri Sadhguru to save the Indian rivers as these rivers are our lifelines which fulfilled our daily need Water. Our Rivers namely Ganga, Kaveri, Krishna and Narmada are some of those lifelines of which water level depleting year- after-year due to human negligence. These Rivers are DYING! To save our Rivers and traditional water bodies, SGT University has offered its full support to Shri Sadhguru awareness campaign by taking decision to launch ‘River Rally’ awareness campaign in Gurugram.
