The induction programme was followed by orientation programme comprising of guest lectures on different dates by eminent persons from industry and academia for the students of the faculty in general and newly admitted students in particular. Prof. (Dr.) P.C. Jain, Former Principal of SRCC Delhi delivered a guest lecture on “Significance of process of Learning – Role of stakeholders” on 16th August, 2017. It was entirely an interactive session, which provided understanding about roles of different stakeholders in learning process.
The Faculty also organized an orientation session exclusively for fresh batch of students of MBA, BBA, and B. Com. Mr. Pawan Sharma, Assistant Vice President & Training Head, TATA AIA Life Insurance Company was the key speaker on this occasion held on 7th September, 2017. The learned speaker enumerated numerous employment opportunities available in the sector. While emphasizing the need for creativity and lateral thinking in learning process, he brought out the importance of the insurance sector in Indian economy in general and job creation in particular.
Another orientation program was held on 19th September, 2017. The resource persons in this programme were Mr. Mohit Saxena (Director- Legal & Compliance, Religare Finserv) and Ms. Ved Saxena (Manager- Operations, Dish TV India Ltd (Essel Group). The learned speakers threw light on several key aspects of corporate life and apprised how creative ideas are generated sometimes at very low level in the organization. The session was concluded by Professor M. S. Turan Dean, FCM, with his remarks that expert power is more important than legitimate power in so far as the managerial success is concerned. Professor Rajiv Khanna, Dean Faculty of Law presided over the programme.
